Info
Updated: 1/26/2023

MVVOA provides volleyball officials for 18 high schools and 10 middle schools on the coast and in the valley

So you would like to be a volleyball official: Volleyball is a two month sport: September and October. We start meetings in August, so we are asking you commit for these months. Matches start as early as 3:00 PM, but a most start at 4 or 4:30 PM. If you find your availability works for this time of year, consider registering. We will train you, on-the-court and in the classroom, and work with you during the season.

What will my schedule look like? That's entirely up to you. When you register, you can indicate which days and hours you are available to officiate. The commissioner will assign games based on your availability. Most middle school matches are played on Mondays and Wednesdays. Most high school matches are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays usually starting at 4 PM. We also need officials for Saturday matches/tournaments, which are typically run 8 AM - 6 PM.

What will I be paid? Pay, for the most part, is set by OSAA (Oregon School Activity Association) https://www.osaa.org/docs/officials/AOH.pdf
