NEW OFFICIALS

Now accepting registration for the 2026 Volleyball Season

REGISTRATION OPENS JUNE 12TH 2026

The Volleyball season begins in late August and ends the State Tournament the first weekend of November.  Most matches are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Details will be listed on the assignments.

Association meetings are normally every other week.  Starting in August 10th, 2026 and run through October. Training is part of the meetings.  Check the schedule for dates and times.

If you are interested in becoming a volleyball official in and around the Salem area, go to the Main tab above and select Registration.  Click Official and enter your information.

After your registration has been accepted, you will receive login information so you can login to Reftown. You will begin to receive SVOA communication for upcoming meetings and events.

Welcome to the SVOA (Salem Volleyball Officials Association)

If you are considering becoming a volleyball official we are pleased to welcome you to SVOA.  We service schools in and around Salem at High School and Middle School levels.  No matter your experience level, we welcome you and provide training.  Please click on the link below!

For SVOA Regular Officials (year 2+)

Central Hub

To get registered with OSAA and pay your OSAA/NFHS dues you must use the Central Hub.  After you have registered with the OSAA central hub, you will be sent your packet which includes the rule books.

Testing

To take your NFHS test you will go to the OSAA/OAOA Central Hub and (after logging on) click Volleyball on the menu and then click Testing on the Volleyball menu. You'll see the Volleyball Rules test click the Take Test button.  This needs to be completed by the end of our regular season.

 

Edit Availability

1. Click Schedules->Availability. You will get a screen showing the current month.
2. Click the year/month drop down to select the year and month you would like to edit your availability.
3. Click
Edit Availability…
4. Click Edit SVOA Default Availability to setup your standard work week.
5. Click Edit SVOA Local Availability to setup specific dates your need to make yourself available or unavailable.
6: Complete the date or date with the following information
   a. Avail or NA (Not Available) the Red X will clear the box.
   b. After: enter the time your will be leaving home or work location
   c: Before: enter the time you have to be done by in order to get to work or be home. Most matches are 1 ½ hours long, so work backwards if you use this.
   d. Comment: Where will you be leaving, e.g. Home, Downtown Silverton, Amity Middle School, Mill City, etc.
7. After you’ve edited your availability, click the ‘Submit Changes’ at the bottom of the screen.
