Hi Oregon Soccer Referees!

We have some exciting news to share! Liam Hayes is now the State Referee Administrator (SRA) for Oregon.  He will be heading up our referee program, overseeing everything from training and recruitment to mentoring and state-wide services.  He's also staying on as our State Director of Assessment (SDA), so he'll be keeping busy!

For those of you who haven't met Liam yet, he's got a great background in the game. He was a Regional Referee (formerly State) and is currently an Emeritus Regional Referee. He's spent the last three years as a US Soccer certified Referee Coach and even serves as Vice President on the High School board.  We're thrilled to have him leading the way, and we hope you'll join us in giving him a warm welcome.

We also want to give a huge shout-out to Rich Meneghello. Rich has led us for the past three years, and we are so grateful for all the hard work and heart he put into developing our referee community.  Though his professional work career is now requiring more of his time, he will continue to work as a referee and as a referee mentor.

We'll keep you posted as we move through this transition. Thanks for everything you do for soccer in Oregon!

The 2026/27 OYSA Seasonal year is approaching! 

The 2026 OYSA Fall League, including National 1 will begin on September 12.

• There have been some rule changes for OYSA Leagues that will be communicated to referees before the start of the season.
• The National 1 League will have it's own set of rules that are still being finalized.
• A 2026 Fall Training Webinar is being developed and is tentatively planned for Thursday, September 10, 7:00pm.
